Deep dive into a track played with nothing but dance

What if the world suddenly becomes a quiet place? An unsettling experience designed for the first interactive clip sung through sign and body language. In symbiosis, the electro duo Haute and Billy Read, a deaf dancer, created Unsilenced. A track anchored in the world of one, the other or both, thanks to a digital trick.

CLICK & HOLD

A powerful experience

To transcribe the deaf’s world, the subtitles’ design was embedded into a wavy audio visualiser developed in WebGL. By holding the click, you may choose to reveal the translation of the song while Billy sings through his moves.

« We hope ‘Unsilenced’ strikes a chord with the hearing community as it’s more than just a song, it’s an invitation for people to get closer to the deaf community through their language. »
